Hey guys,
Guild Meetup #7 will be our first (but hopefully not last) sPvP night - on Saturday October 6th @ 10PM EST.
Here's how it will work:
- Once the guild meetup starts go to Heart of The Mists.
- Under the guild meetup subchannel in mumble we'll have multiple subchannels for groups of 16.
- At the time of the meetup join in on a subchannel that does not have have a group of 16 yet, and get to know your potential teammates/enemies.
- Whether or not the people in your match want to create two more channels for teams is completely up to you, remember anyone can create temporary channels.
- We'll drop in on each subchannel and tell you guys which hot join sPvP server # to join, we'll pick one that is completely empty and does not show the map name, so it will be a surprise.
Once we have more forethought (and potentially custom tournys) we'll plan tournaments a good bit ahead of time - Cyron also knows a way to rig the current tournaments so 8 teams of karma all fight each other. But since we're announcing this 2 days in advance, we'll save that for a later date.
This is just meant to be fun & casual sPvP, so let us know what you think. Its also a great way to meet other Karmanauts you don't know already, so maybe think twice about forming your 16 people ahead of time.

We want groups to be as random as possible so everyone is meeting new people. We know pretty well groups of players, so well move people around if we need to

I am terrible in sPvP, so I apologize before hand. Maybe if I could get in a group with an experienced elementalist, they could act as a mentor or something?

Hmm very interesting guild meetup plan, I really like it. Though depending on how competitive our next server match-up in WvW is I may not want to attend due to trying to keep us ontop during the very very crucial opening weekend of WvW matches. (since we will be dropping to the set of 3 servers under the one currently that always has to fight the leftover from Tier 1 it actually should be a very competitive and evenly matched WvW this time around, we can go for gold!)
